This restaurant was undergoing complete
remodeling while the ambient sound was pre-wired.
The ambient sound is produced
using white surround sound speakers from "Jamo",
purchased by the restaurant owner from a local audio
store.
The ambient speakers were placed
in areas where both left and right of the stereo
channels could be heard throughout the sections
of seating and entry area.
Each ambient speaker was mounted
with provided brackets using minimal mounting holes.
A total of 5 pairs of "Jamo" surround sound
speakers were used for the open air seating and
entry area.
The rest rooms also had ambient
sound added. Instead of using the surface
mounted surround sound speakers, a flush mounted
pair of in-wall "Jamo" speakers were placed into
the ceiling tiles.
Only one channel of sound was
added to each rest room to conserve on cost. The
left channel was heard in the woman's room, and
the right in the men's room.
All the "Jamo" 2 pair speaker
wire was run to a shelf location behind the rear
counter of the restaurant.
This is where the control
center and tuner will be placed.
The Hazelton custom control panel
was constructed using scrap pieces of stained cherry
wood from the remodeling company who was on site
while pre-wiring. The wood was used to
match the restaurant's trim.
The enclosure for the volume
controls and the tuner, has plastic sliding doors
to prevent bumping or changing setting accidentally.
Each volume control is assigned
to a pair of the ambient speakers, One control operates
the rest rooms and the entry area.
If you are
in the area be sure to stop for a bite to eat, great food!
